The India is a country that stands out for its rich faunabut also because of its overpopulation. When both factors come together, scenes occur like the one that recently went viral in this Asian country.
The images were captured by a video surveillance camera installed in the garden of a house in Mount Abu, in the state of Rajasthan (northwest of the country).
In them you can see how the domestic dog, a black labrador named Rockyis attacked from behind by a leopardlarger in size, which is thrown at the dog’s neck.
Both animals get into a fight and for a few distressing seconds, you can see how the wild feline immobilizes the dog. It seems Rocky’s fate is sealed.
But somehow, the farmer manages escape the deadly bite of the leopard, who ends up running away after seeing the dog free itself from its jaws.
Attracted by the noise, the owner of the house went out to the garden to check what was happening. when it came out the leopard had already fledbut he took the dog, alive and without apparent serious injuries, inside the house.
