Andorra la VellaSome hooded men have entered the residence that Gerard Pique has in Cerdanya to paint the facade. The vandalism has been claimed by the organization Arran, through a video published this Sunday night in which you can see how a person with his face covered, and dressed in a jacket and tie, inscribes messages such as “Fora pijos” and the logo of this left-wing group, according to reports Radio Seu.
In the message they later published, from Arran they said they wanted to “point out the luxury residence” of the ex-footballer in the region because they say they want to “go on the offensive” against what they describe as a “tourist monoculture that drowns the Pyrenees” and against “renters and speculators” who, they claim, make their lives “a misery” and whom they call “shitholes”. In this sense, they consider this collective to be responsible for a worsening of working conditions and the rise in housing prices in the Pyrenees, “driving us out of our villages and into precarious jobs”.
The video ends with an image of the protest that the Pirineu Viu platform had organized this Sunday afternoon, which has cut off the C-16 road in Berga. They have also republished on the networks the video published by Pirineu Viu, adding that they are “against the expansion of the C-16 and the infrastructures” that they believe “encroach on the territory”. Despite this support, according to the ACN, they have subsequently stated that this new entity has no relation to the action they have taken at Gerard Piqué’s house.
