Harris visits three key states and encourages young people to vote: “I see their power”

The vice president and Democratic candidate for next week’s general elections in the United States, Kamala Harris, visited three key states this Wednesday and encouraged young people to go to the polls.

On the last stop of his tour, in the northern state of Wisconsin, Harris said she is aware of the political power of youth and his desire for change.

“You have every right to be impatient for change; this is not just a political thing for you, it is your political experience. I see you and I see your power,” Harris said at a rally where she was accompanied by southern activist Stacey Abrams and the musical group Mumford and Sons.

Harris insisted on her political project, presenting herself as the candidate of “freedom” and He insisted on his defense of reproductive rightsafter the decision of the US Supreme Court to repeal federal protection of abortion.

“You know that you have fewer rights now than your mothers and grandmothers had and you are defending freedom,” said the Democrat, one day after a massive campaign event in the US capital where she gave her “final message” to American voters.

The vice president will continue tomorrow with the last campaign events of the race for the presidency, before Americans go to the polls on November 5.

Harris will visit the key states of Arizona and Nevadawhere he will try to attract the Latino vote with events with the Mexican groups Los Tigres del Norte and Maná, as well as the singer of Puerto Rican origin Jennifer López.

According to the average of surveys carried out by the FiveThirtyEight website, the vice president is in the lead with 48% of voting intentions1.4 points more than its rival.

The difference in key states that could decide the elections, however, predicts a close result. Althoughe Harris is ahead in some like Michigan or Wisconsinin Pennsylvania are tied, indicated a CNN poll released this Wednesday.
