The elected president of the United States, donald trumpannounced this Tuesday the appointment of the billionaire Elon Musk and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy as top officials of the Department of Government Efficiency.
Trump also announced this Tuesday the appointment of John Ratcliffe, former Director of National Intelligence, to head the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
According to the president-elect in a statement, Ratcliffe “will be a tireless fighter for the constitutional rights of all Americans, while ensuring the highest levels of National Security and peace through strength.”
The appointment of this Texan and former congressman, who must be ratified by the Senatejoins others that the president-elect announced this Tuesday, including former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee as the new ambassador to Israel.
Huckabee’s appointment cements Trump’s pledge to more closely align foreign policy with Israel’s interests as it wages wars against Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
This Tuesday, the Republican also revealed that businessman and philanthropist Steve Witkoff, one of his closest friends, will be his future special envoy for the Middle East.
