Andorra la VellaThe University of Andorra (UdA) has thanked the great response received as a result of the material collection campaign to help the people affected by the Dana a Valencia. All the products that have been collected since Monday (clothing, non-perishable food, cleaning products, food for animals, household linen, etc.) have been transferred this Wednesday to the offices of Andorran Caritas of Sant Julià de Lòriaso that they can be included in the shipment that will be made this week to the affected regions.
In addition, this Wednesday at noon, the UdA also received a large shipment of basic necessities that the 5th grade students of the Maria Moliner school brought together with the collaboration of theAndorran School of Escaldes-Engordany.
The entourage was received by the rector of the UdA, Julius Minovesand by the managers of UdA Solidà ria, Sonia Gili i Barbara Cerratoas well as by a representation of students from the Bachelor in Education Sciences. Once the products were unloaded, the children read a manifesto expressing their solidarity and commitment towards the area damaged by the storm. “We not only hope to contribute to facilitating the cleaning jobs and overcoming the first days, but also to be able to sow a seed of hope and motivation in each person who receives the material” they assured.
