Telefónica, MasOrange, Vodafone and Digi are already working to return service to those affected by DANA

Telefónica and Vodafone Spain have registered various incidents in the Valencian Community early Tuesday morning as a result of the effects of the devastating DANA. Both companies are working to fully restore service.

Telefónica sources consulted by Efe indicate that They have deployed massive reinforcement in the Valencian Community to repair damage caused by flooding and power outages as a result of the storm. The company has sent additional brigades to the affected areas, as well as generating equipment and satellite phones.

The Telefónica operations team is working from the first moment in collaboration with the Generalitat Valenciana and with the Military Emergency Unit (UME) so that Technicians can reach the flooded plants, operator sources point out.

Regarding Vodafone Spain, sources from the operator explain that its network has suffered fiber cuts in the Valencian Community and continue working since Tuesday afternoon to restore the 100% service in collaboration with the authorities.

The company has activated unlimited data on the mobile phones of customers in this community to facilitate communications for those affected.

For its part, MasOrange has stressed that, after the problems caused by DANA in the service they provide in the affected areas of the east and south of Spain, they are also working in collaboration with the State Security Corps and Forces and the emergency services to recover “total normality of communications”.

From Digi have reported that he has suffered “punctual breakdowns in your network” that “are already controlled.” At the teleco they have stressed that “since failures have been detected, our teams deployed in the area have come to carry out maintenance work and minimize the effects on customers, at all times respecting the instructions of local authorities”. The operator also wanted to convey their condolences to the families of the deceased “and we want to show all our solidarity for the people affected.”

Unlimited data on Vodafone and Lowi

For their part, Vodafone and Lowi have activated unlimited mobile data for customers in the region with the purpose of facilitating communications for those affected.

Furthermore, as a show of support and solidarity with those affected, Vodafone is going to carry out a donation of smartphones and chargers through the Red Cross and has made its tents available in case they need help.
