According to the statement, wind gusts are expected that can reach 100 km/h in the valley bottoms and well exceed 140 km/h on the peaks. In addition, the arrival of a front driven by a northerly wind corridor will cause a sudden change of weather during the next few hours.
After a morning with high clouds and some clearings, precipitation will begin in the afternoon in the form of snow from 2,000 meters above sea level. The level will gradually drop to 1,500 meters and, during the night, it could be below 1,000 meters.
These adverse weather conditions, combined with the cloudywill significantly reduce visibility in high areas, which could complicate mobility and increase traffic risk.
