EncampThe common council has today approved the budget for 2025 with a total amount of 41.98 million euros, practically 12% more than the previous year’s budget, with an investment forecast of 13.5 million of euros to face the main challenges of this year.
The Municipal Auditor, Jordi MartÃnez, has given a broad presentation on the content of the 2025 budget and the 2024-2027 budget framework.
The consul major recalled that this is a budget that follows the three main strategic lines of the current mandate: “the improvement of public space, new equipment and services aimed at increasing people’s well-being and the consolidation of Encamp and Pas de la Casa as sports and family tourism destinations” and has specified that “this 2025 we will have the remodeling project of Joan Martà avenue, work will begin on Encamp avenue and we will have the project to start the new youth, social and leisure space, both investments in Pas de la Casa , as well as the Church Square”among many others. The project that derives from the new concession of the ski domain has also been reported, Encamp del Pas de la Casa avenuea remodeling that will begin after the end of the winter season and will be divided, at least, into two phases and will be borne by the concessionaire.
During the year 2024, several investments have been started improvement of the potable water networkwhich will continue this 2025 with the water cover at the head of the Port, the improvement of the remote management of the water tanks, as well as the repair of the Montuell water catchment and the waterproofing of two tanks that supply the population of ‘Encamp
In the field of infrastructures mobility during 2024, three bridges have been remodeled, the La Mola bridge, the Hort de Godà viaduct and the Molina bridge. This line of maintenance and investment work will continue in 2025 with the remodeling of the PrÃncep Benlloch Street bridge. Regarding the Maintenance plan for buildings, infrastructures and public roads an endowment of 805,000 euros is planned, of which a significant part, approximately €400,000, will be used for the last phase of the Plan for remodeling and improving voravies, started in 2020.
To complete the list of main investments, the consul has referred to the purchase of a new sweeping machine that will be added to the current equipment to increase the quality of the road cleaning. The consul explained that there are several initiatives to increase the quality of road cleaning in some areas, such as, for example, the waste collection points and especially with the collection of andromines. The construction of four new collection points with closed booths and video surveillance systems is planned and in Valira Nova, Tirader, Ajustants and Prat de Genil, with an investment of 400,000 euros which will include smart containers. As for the snow shovel it is also planned to buy a turbine that will speed up the service as well as the new springboard for unloading the snow at Pas de la Casa.
