Andorra la VellaThe McDonald’s chain and Pyrénées Andorra celebrated this Friday the 25th edition of McHappy Day. A day of solidarity promoted by the United Nations that is related to World Children’s Day celebrated last November 20. The central objective of this initiative is to raise funds to allocate them to minors under the care of the Government of Andorra and to the Ronald McDonald’s foundation.
The meeting was attended by several political representatives of the country, among them, the Minister of Social Affairs and Public Service, Trini Marín, the consuls of Andorra la Vella, Sergi González and Olalla Losada, and councilors of the municipality of the capital and Escaldes-Engordany. All of them did not want to miss the opportunity to approach the McDonald’s restaurant on Avinguda Meritxell to participate in the solidarity action “Ajuda’ns a ajudar”. The president of Grup Pyrénées, Patrick Pérez, together with the group’s director of operations, Octavi Bardera, have been in charge of receiving all the personalities present who have bought their BigMac menu and charity stuffed animals from the chain, at a price of 3.50 euros. All of the money collected during the day will be used to support vulnerable children.
