Almost all Colombians
The person in charge commented that almost all the occupants of the vehicle were of Colombian nationality. There is, however, an Ecuadorian, a Moroccan and a Spaniard. Julià has stated that “the investigation remains open” on the reasons for the accident, although the witnesses have agreed on a failure of the brakes. The driver, according to these versions, would have voluntarily pushed himself against the wall to avoid falling down the ravine on the other side of the road.
