The director Jim Abrahams He has died at 80 years old. Was the A within the ZAZ trio, formed together with the brothers Jerry and David Zucker, responsible for some of the greatest classics of absurd comedy and creators of modern parody in Hollywood with unforgettable titles like Land as you can (1980) or Top Secret! (1984).
Abrahams, who died on Tuesday of natural causes at his home in Santa Monica, California, He also participated in the script of the first Grab it as you can (1988), adaptation of his series Police Squad! (1982), and he directed the two films of Hot Shots! (1991, 1993) and Mafia, scam as you can (1998), which would be his last feature film.

Abrahams’ last screenwriting credit came with Scary Movie 4 in 2006. He also had small acting credits in The Kentucky Fried Movie, Land as you can, Top Secret! and The Prince of Zamunda).
