The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced this Wednesday that the Council of Ministers will approve tomorrow, Thursday, a third aid package worth 2,276 million euros for those affected by DANA that hit Valencia almost a month ago. Said aid plan will contain measures for “citizens, the vehicle fleet and the productive fabric”, among which will be direct subsidies of up to 10,000 euros so that those who have lost their vehicle replace it or a new line of 1,200 million so that the self-employed and industrial and tourist companies can repair their facilities, equipment and stocks of products.
Aid for the purchase of vehicles will have a total budget of 465 million euros, and can be used to purchase new or second-hand cars. The subsidy will not have to be repaid, and also may be added to the compensation you are already paying the Insurance Compensation Consortium, dependent on the Government of Spain. In addition, all citizens who have lost their car and have bought another to replace it since last October 29 will be able to benefit from it retroactively, even if the aid was not in force then.
