Andorra la VellaThe highest Spanish basketball competition, theACBhas recorded losses of 346,911 euros during the 2023-2024 season, a result that contrasts with the financial balance of the previous campaign. He says so Stage 23because the main impact is attributed to the litigation with MoraBanc Andorra for promotion feewhich culminated in an unfavorable ruling for the ACB in December 2023.
An expensive litigation for the ACB
The Basketball Club Andorraknown as MoraBanc Andorra for sponsorship reasons, won in December 2023 a lawsuit against the ACB for the promotion fee. The ruling required the ACB to pay 1.57 million euros, including the claimed principal and accrued interest. Despite this, both parties reached an out-of-court settlement to avoid further legal costs, and the compensation was accounted for in the entity’s “other results”.
The total income of the ACB reached the 26.65 million eurosa year-on-year increase of 4.3%. The main source of income was the sale of audiovisual rights, which it generated 22.4 million euros. However, other revenues, such as penalties and asset exploitation, declined compared to the previous season.

A hopeful future for 2024-2025
Ahead of the 2024-2025 season, the ACB has announced a record budget of 40.7 million eurosdriven by the expansion of sponsorship deals with brands like end, Toyotaand the recent addition of Peak Sports to equip the referees. This leaves behind the difficulties of 2023-2024, with an eye on stronger financial stability.
This optimistic turn comes after a season marked by legal controversy and economic challenges, which the ACB hopes to overcome with increased income and sponsorships.
