The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (Aesan), dependent on the Ministry of Consumer Affairsreported this Friday of the presence of listeria in several MRM brand meat products distributed throughout Spain, which is why it has been recommended not to consume them.
The agency has launched this alert as a result of learning, through the Coordinated System for Rapid Information Exchange (SCIRI), of a alert notification from the Madrid health authorities about the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in some batches of MRM brand meat products, reported by the company itself.
Specifically, it concerns the lot 2425040376 lacón in tapas cut with a knife; from lot 2425100013 of product pork head 1 sliced; and lot 2421980073 of sliced ​​Iberian pig head.
Aesan has transferred this information to the competent authorities of the autonomous communities through the SCIRI. Thus, the objective is to verify the recall of affected products of marketing channels.
People who have these products at home are recommended to refrain from consuming them. If you have done so and present symptoms compatible with listeriosis (vomiting, diarrhea or fever), go to a health center.
