“Don’t brine the turkey in the Great Lake”

Officials at the Great Salt Lake State Park and Marina in Utah (USA) reminded locals not to brine their Thanksgiving turkeys Thanksgiving in the lake, after locating a packaged copy on one of its beaches.

Those responsible for the park commented on social networks than a turkey, which still had the plastic and the faded store labelappeared on Silver Sands beach.

“Just a annual reminder to not use the Great Salt Lake to brine the turkey,” the post said.

“Not only is the salinity too high for adequate brine, but the waves can be very strong and there is a good chance that the whole turkey will be lost, as happened to this person,” they concluded.

The curious thing is that it is not the first time this has happened and it seems that it is a kind of habit among the river inhabitants to brine the birds in their waters.
