It was a resident of the Asturian municipality of Avilés who alerted the Local Police about what a otterwho walked freely through a bank office, had attacked and bit a person.
The mammal ran and roamed freely through the streets of the town without causing damage and showing a most docile and calm attitude. Furthermore, the small mammal surprised every neighbor it found in its path until it entered an office of a bank.
It was then that a pedestrian was attacked by this otter, who suffered slight bites on the handaccording to The Commerce. The man was allegedly attacked by the animal for trying to catch her while she was running through the branch.
While the Nature Protection Service (Seprona) reached the place where the person responsible for causing so much commotion in such a central area was located, the Local Police I was trying to reach the animal.
Although the otter tried to escape on multiple occasions for a few minutes, and its capture was complicated by its speed, finally the Police were able to catch up with it and keep it with a box. The operation drew attention of the neighbors and passers-by in the area, who were surprised to meet the protagonist of the events and approached the branch.
Hours before the otter broke into the bank office, a user of the social network X published a video in which he showed an otter walking through a Renfe stop from the Asturian municipality, without confirming that it was the same animal.
